Jonathan Kelly Counsellor
I am a counsellor and supervisor working in Stourbridge, West Midlands

I completed my professional training in 2004, with a Diploma of Higher Education in Integrative Counselling from The University of Birmingham.
I am an accredited counsellor with the BACP (2007) and registered with the UKRCP. In 2013 I gained accreditation with the BACP as a supervisor of counsellors.
I am a registrant with the BACP Register of Counsellors and Psychotherapists under the Professional Standards Authority

I have worked since 2004 in the field of loss and bereavement. In my bereavement work I frequently work with those whose grief is complicated by the type of loss (such as suicide or murder) or by their background of mental health problems.

I also worked for several years counselling young people with special needs, including autistic spectrum disorders, attachment disorders and learning difficulties.

The emotional areas I have experience in include anxiety, depression, anger, suicidal thoughts and feelings, attachment issues, and issues of self worth.

My clients come from a range of backgrounds including people from a variety of ethnic and religious backgrounds, different sexual orientations, and those with special needs or mental health issues. Acknowledging that each person comes to counselling with their individual history of experiences, values and perspectives is an important element in the process.
